Chateau Grand Renom Bordeaux

Chateau Grand Renom Bordeaux

Eynesse, located in a historic wine region to the far east of the Gironde département, is home to Château Grand Renom under the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, and sits on a plateau at an altitude of 80m. It occupies a single 38-hectare piece of land on hillsides around a hamlet from which the estate takes its name.

The terroir, perched in the heights of the Dordogne, primarily consists of clay soils over limestone which comes through in places, overlooking the Dordogne river – a geological profile very similar to Saint-Emilion - and sustainable viticulture is used, which is environmentally friendly with limited inputs.

7 hectares are set aside for producing white grape varieties in a limestone-clay terroir.
